    zimbra_server_hostname = ubuntu-srv2.thekingsharvest.local
    ldap_url = ldap://ubuntu-srv2.thekingsharvest.local
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    zimbra@ubuntu-srv2:~$ zmprov --ldap getAllServers
    ubuntu-srv2.the-kings-harvest.local
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Actually I think this is the same as this thread?

    If I'm confusing matters for net4home then I'll stop posting. I wonder if upgrading yoru version of clamav would solve the issue you are having? There are instruction on the wiki. It's a bit fiddly but I managed to do it and I'm not experienced with Linux.

    My problems started after I tried to upgrade but needed a key file so it really didn't do the upgrade. Then power failed about a month later and my servers crashed hard. After that nothing seemed to work. The latest post by me below was on the same server after I re-downloaded the latest version and got it to install on my server. Since then (2 weeks) my email server has not been working. I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my infrastructure in hopes to prevent this from happening again.

    Thanks

    Do you mean upgrade Zimbra or upgrade clamav? I meant to upgrade your clamav from the source package. I had a very much similar problem to you, I had just installed 4.5.6 (in fact I was having the same problems with 4.5.5) and the antivirus wasn't starting. I had tried various things and occassionally when I tried to restart zmclamdctl it would try to access the site to update the virus definition and have problems.. I'm not entirely sure if our problems are the same but I thought maybe updating the clamav version might be a good thing to try for you.

    My Zimbra version 4.5.6 came with clamav-0.90.2 you can see it in the /opt/zimbra directory. The latest version is clamav-0.91.1 ; I followed the "updating clamav" wiki link Updating CLAMAV - ZimbraWiki . There were a few extra things I had to do with the Ubuntu 6.10 server that weren't in the guide (it is a general guide);

    apt-get install zlib1g
    apt-get install zlib1g-dev
    apt-get install build-essential
    apt-get install build-dep clamav

    However I might be wrong and you meant you updated the Clamav version?

    It seems to me it's a bit of drastic measure to go to.. but it was quite interesting to do and get it working finally.. and Zimbra seems such great software. All the services seem to be running fine at the moment. I will let you know though if it breaks again.

    Thankyou Eternal-student, and yes, I know you ment to upgrade the clamav. I was looking to upgrade to the newest Zimbra 4.5.6 and then try to upgrade anything else, but after the Zimbra Server upgrade wouldn't work and after the power failure, I was able to upgrade Zimbra Server and the Zimbra Server is still not working and currently will not show any status of the services. So I'm rebuilding and hoping to find out how to rescue all those emails, calendar apts and contacts after I have a working Zimbra 4.5.6 Server.

    Thankyou Eternal-student for the information on how to upgrade the clamav I'll use it once I have a working system again.

    Thanks
