    Session Idle Timeout - This sets how long a user session remains active, if no activity occurs. Activity includes any kb/clickable mouse action, such as viewing contents of a folder or clicking a button. If you do not move your mouse/click/press a key within the zimbra window for x hrs it will close the session.

    Auth Token Lifetime
    - This is the 'remember me' check box functionality. If you login, then not hitting the logoff button, but you just close the browser session, returning to the zimbra address/website it will auto sign you in. It sets a browser cookie that contains the auth token. User can open ZWC without having to log on again until the auth token expires; unless you actually hit the logoff button, then you need to retype your password.

    Both of the above can be easily set per user or COS via the admin console.

    blank & password remembering
    - Some people's browsers are set to remember blanks- Your looking for something called autofill/autocomplete; which is disabled on the advanced login page. There's also browser based password remembering.

    I use firefox and it doesn't remember the login field like it's set as a password field it's anoying to have to type in your email each time. The timeout issue isn't a problem.

    Default autocomplete = OFF

    If I look with Firebug at the advanced client login page I see
    that on both the username and password field they set
    autocomplete="OFF"

    Code:
    <input id="ZLoginUserName" class="zLoginField" type="text" tabindex="1" autocomplete="OFF"/>

    <input type="password" tabindex="2" autocomplete="OFF" class="zLoginField" id="ZLoginPassword"/>
    which means that the Browser is told:
    "Please do not perform autocomplete in this input field"

    If you want to remove the autocomplete tag from these two fields, I feel that you have to change the code of Zimbra. Or does anybody know if a configuration possibility for this exists?

    Ajax_all.js (& Ajax_all.js.zgz)
    Find ZLoginFactory.getLoginDialogHTML=function(_1269){
    or search for autocomplete=OFF (without the quotes)

    Try to remove the tag completely

    Code:
    <input id="ZLoginUserName" class="zLoginField" type="text" tabindex="1" />
    mmorse edit: (so I don't bump the thread up)
    This might be changed for 5.0 as there's no autocomplete=off appended to it on rc1 http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...html#post62031
