    Default Web GUI always translated

    Hi,

    on Saturday we changed our server from Gentoo XEN Dom0, CentOS 4.4 DomU to CentOS 5 Dom0, CentOS 5 DomU. (Followed Network Edition Disaster Recovery in the wiki)

    Today a customer told me, that the Zimbra Web GUI is alwasy on German no matter which language is chosen in the browser configuration. No chance to get it in English.

    I just installed the German translations like I always do after an update.

    Perhaps the problem is due to the fact that the centos5 is German, too?

    Version:
    Release 4.5.6_GA_1044.RHEL5_20070706163724 CentOS5{i} NETWORK edition

    Only one user see this? Can you get the web UI in English? Only time I've seen this before was when the German translation was copied on top of the English one.

    I just opened a support case for this. The BASIC/HTML client seems to pick a language from the browser (IE 7 or FF 2) list of languages even if it is not the first (preferred) language. If you remove all the additioanl languages and leave only English then the BASIC/HTML client displays the English.

    I can't get the English version, too.
    It's for all user, there are some users from Shanghai whitch only use the English, thats the problem.

    The original files ZhMsg.properties, ZmMsg.properties, ZMsg.properties and AjxMsg.properties are untouched with English content.

    @grandpajim

    I got a workaround for my problem:

    I copied the translated files:
    ZhMsg.properties, ZmMsg.properties, ZMsg.properties and AjxMsg.properties
    to
    ZhMsg_en.properties, ZmMsg_en.properties, etc.

    This works so far

    -----------

    Update

    I removed the line
    LANG="de_DE@euro"
    from /etc/sysconfig/i18n

    now English is the default language again
