Default Hiding URL in multi server environment

    Hi everybody

We have 8 servers Zimbra in cluster : 2 for LDAP, the rest for Webmail and mail storage (mailbox,POP/IMAP). We are hosting many virtual domains and have a main domain.

While opening Webmail, we want hiding the real name of the mailbox server by kipping the url of authantification

    for examples

    Main domain :
    webmail url :
After the authentification, the browser display but not

    Welcome to the forums,

There are many products (both hardware and software solutions) and ways to do this. -apache has mod_rewrite, there's application switches/local clustering devices like F5 BIG-IP, etc, etc

Without going into the complications of URL/address rewriting (notice yahoo, microsoft, etc don't even bother to hide the server names in their webmail) if your an NE customer would it be enough to put your main company/organization's name into the url?
ie: is the 'domain' so different that it has no reference to your company?
So they would see: essentially replacing /zimbra/ by adjusting the zimbraMailURL.
(Note: This would effect any links they've 'given out' to share things to external non-zimbra users)
