I cannot seem to find an answer to a specific question about email message lifetime..
If I configure the email lifetime setting for 30 days, will fragments of conversations be deleted if the conversation has been active within the 30 day time frame?
I assume that fragments are treated like individual e-mails, where each fragment is subject to the lifetime policy configured for the user/COS/whatever.. But I don't like to assume!
We just released an e-mail retention policy that requires all email to be discarded after 90 days, and of course now everyone wants to know how they can circumvent the policy..
