    Question Front-end / Back-end Zimbra Servers

Hi, I currently have Zimbra up and running great, it sits on our Intranet and everyone uses it OK.
On the outside of our firewall we have a windows PC running MDaemon as a front-end server. Being windows this has resource problems every few days and needs re-booting.
Whats the best way of setting up a new front-end server using Zimbra? I guess it will just do fetch, send and spam marking, then pass on incoming email to my internal Zimbra server.
Questions that come to mind are:-
    1) As the back-end is the Network Edition, can I use the same licence on the font?
    2) Can I monitor the Front-end from the back-end?
    3) Would this just be simpler with just a postfix server out front?

    Thanks
    -Si-

You can really use any MTA you want on the front end, and have the back end server relay through it.

It's capabilities are governed by what MTA you choose.

Not sure on the licensing issue. Send an e-mail to your sales rep@zimbra.com to ask.

    best,
    john
