share calendar, address book using canonical address
In our school, we have accounts stored in a ldap server, using 'uid' field accross all the systems to authenticate users.
In zimbra (v4.5.4), we therefore have 2 addresses per user :
As uid can be something like 03asy01021, we mainly use the latter form.
Problem arise when sharing through zimbra as only uid@ourdomain is permitted.
Is this something already listed in the bug database ?
Using canonical address for calendar appointments
I'm having a similar request. We are hosting individual users on Zimbra. We give users an address of firstname.lastname@example.org. Now, many times our users want outgoing mail to come from email@example.com, so we set their canonical address to firstname.lastname@example.org. However, when creating a calendar appointment and inviting others to that meeting, it sends out from the email@example.com, not the canonical address firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there anyway to make Zimbra send out appointment invites using the canonical address?
