Default AD Ctrl-alt-del Change Password Breaks Zimbra

In group policy when my users password is soon to expire and they ctrl-alt-del to change it, zimbra does not take use of the new password.

    1.) User ctrl-alt-del, change password
    2.) Outlook still open, send/receive
3.) Outlook prompts for new password as the current one does not work
4.) User enters newly changed password
5.) Prompt continues to come up as though the new password does not work.

System: Zimbra 4.5.7 Network Edition(Professional), Active Directory 2003, Windows XP Clients, Outlook 2007 Email Client

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

I am experiencing similar problems, though not using AD (but still using external ldap)

The only way I have got around the problem is:
    Have outlook running
    press alt+ctrl+del and change password
    close outlook
open up outlook and password prompt comes up
put in new password, and every thing is ok after that.

    Default Outlook Caching

Them maybe this issue is related to a caching issue or "feature" in Outlook.

I don't want to disable caching.

Any outlook gurus wish to comment on this?

yes, it is a caching feature. we are having it also. when you re-install the outlook plugin its OK again. i haven't tested more than this.
