Question [SOLVED] sent mails do not appear in sent folder

    Hello,

we have one mailbox on our zimbra 4.5.6 system, where sent mails are not stored in the "sent" folder.

The mails are being sent without problems and in the logfile i find entries like this one (which look in my eyes ok):

    2007-10-17 22:56:33,304 INFO [LmtpServer-4] [name=xy@testserver.xx;] mailbox - Added message id=78581 digest=cUaLiO2oQQt9lfy3v94FjcddU1Q= mailbox=6 rcpt=xy@testserver.xx

But this mail can't be found in sent folder and can also not be found via the search.

I have tried to backup the "old" index of mailbox 6 and i have reindexed the mailbox like it was described in this thread:

    http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...-new-mail.html

But that didn't help at all.

Can you give me a clue?

    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas

    This from the web-client or a thick-client?

If it's the web-client: not trying to insult ya or anything - but please confirm Options > Mail > 'Save copies of messages to sent folder' is checked.

    Hey mmorse,

it was via the web ui...
and yes i didn't check that option....

Thanks for pointing me to that configuration - indeed the user seems to have unchecked that checkbox.
