Default Looking for solution for forward mail

    Hi,
I'm using relayhost to send mail to external account but what can I do with the users that are using “forward mail to” preferences to resend theirs e-mail to an external server and my relay host doesn’t permit forwarding it.

Not sure for some reason why you are using a relay host. And can your relay host detect that it's a forwarded e-mail?

Isn't it that sending an e-mail to an external recipient is just as equivalent to forwarding an e-mail to an external recipient too?

I'm see in my log file that Postfix resends the e-mail using the external address and not with local user account.
    That is:
user@gmail.com sends an email to user@mydomain.com that has an address to forward mail to user@yahoo.com
Postfix resend mail to user@yahoo.com as user@gmail.com not as user@mydomain.com
Of course, my relayhost detect that there are someone using a not valid account to relay mail to external and an error is received
“550 relay not permitted (in reply to RCPT TO command)”.

Im not sure, but did you try adding an identity in the option tab of your users?

Or you can try it on your own, define another e-mail address in your identity and forward your e-mail to that e-mail outside of your domain.

I have done it with no problem at all. Not exactly sure though if this is the solution you are looking for.
