The best solution is to move /etc/debian_version out of the way while you install (in addition to editing /etc/lsb-release).

Don't just edit the zcs_get_plat_tag.sh script because the installer copies a new version (without your changes) that is needed for the post install tasks. Then you'll have all sorts of errors because it will fail to enable the zimbra components and your install will be broken.
Did it work fine for you just to edit /etc/lsb-release back to 6 and mv /etc/debian_version ? If so I am going to try that and in a couple of weeks I think I am going to go back to 6.06

Yes. I am currently running 4.5.9 on my Ubuntu 7.04 server.

I will have to try this when I get home. I will have to let tonights backs complete before I try the creative solution Spliff identified.

    Spliff - Thanks in advance!

    Success!

So far so good! Thanks Spliff!

I am still going to downgrade. This will allow me to be ready for 5.0 and allow me to test the restore process.

Consider this topic closed. Unless of course I post again
