    Default Internal Only email server

I hope this is the right forum for this, but what I am trying to setup with zimbra is an internal only email server so far sending to it is impossible as I used a domain that is non legit, so now my only thing I need to do is to somehow disable it to send the email out to anything other than itself. How would I do this? I love the product and can't wait for this minor problem to get resolved and roll this out to my company. THanks

You should be able to do this by setting disable DNS in the admin UI and setup your current email server as the MTA relay host. This is in the admin guide. If you've already done this send a test email and look in /var/log/zimbra.log for any clues.

it also shouldn't hurt anything to configure a local name server to provide dns for an internal ("non-legit") zone on the local network

that way other computers on the local network using the local name server can access the mail server with the non-legit name
