authentication from different server
I was wanting to know if this setup was possible with zimbra? Right now we have our primary mail server running Qpopper for our customers using Outlook and Eudora and a secondary mail server running @mail for our webmail access. The way this is set up is that the primary server receives all of our email and allows access for our customers using Outlook or Eudora. The webmail server only downloads the email from the primary server if a user logs in through webmail. When a user logs in through webmail the webmail server leaves a copy on the primary server because some users use both Outlook and webmail. Also if a user deletes a message through their webmail account it will also delete the message from the primary server running Qpopper. The user authentication for the webmail server is handled by our primary mail server running Qpopper. Is there anyone who is running a configuration similar to this with Zimbra and if not does anyone have any pointers on how to begin. This is about as much as I know about the current setup as this was put into service by the previous network admins. If this is not possible will it be possible in future revisions of Zimbra.
