Default Archiving an old email account

    Hi Guys,

Whats the best way of archiving an old email account? So when a member of staff leaves, we would like to keep their old emails for up to 6 months after they go and then set up an alias to send any new incoming email for them to someone else.

I have tried locking their account, but then can't set up and alias as their account still exists.

If I set "Disable local delivery" for the account, and setup a forward, would their account still count as an active licence?

    Many thanks

Yes, that account will count on your license. The best way, probably would be to download the box using imap/pop3 then zip it up, and put it somewhere.
