    Default Migrating domains between servers.

We are looking to set up two servers. One open source server and One Network version server. We are looking to be able to give the clients that want to pay for it the network version and if they dont the opensource version. Is it possibe
to migrate domains between the two servers? Lets say we have a client on the open version and they want to pay for the network version. Is it possible to move them? On the other hand we may let the users work on the network version for a month trial and then move them over to the open version if they dont want to pay. I had not read anything that addressed this specifically so if theres docs out there point me in the right direction.

    Default domains

Domains are global, not server based, so you won't actually migrate the domain. What you can do is migrate the users from one server to another.

That's assuming that these are two mailstore servers in a common install (sharing an ldap server) - which is not what you'll have, if you've got one network and one FOSS install.

To do that migration, you'll have to reprovision the accounts, and do a mail migration via imap. (Suck the mail off of one server, inject into the other)

    Default

So for our clients to go from the Open version to the network version or vice versa we would have to move everything with imapsync export each users contacts to csv individually and recreate there entire calender. And Im guessing each user would lose all there preferences/tags etc.. Is there anything in the pipeline to address this?

    Default moving users

There's no current RFE for that, but there should be (or, mixed deployment between FOSS and NETWORK servers...)

File it at bugzilla.zimbra.com - RFE's from the community always make the boss happy
