Default Is this multi-node config possible?

Here's what I'm trying to achieve with a multi-server configuration. Having looked at the docs, I'm not clear whether I can do it with Zimbra. I'd like to know whether I can and, if I can't, what's the best I can do.

I want to run two Zimbra servers at different locations, such that
    • Both servers are part of the same mail domain
    • All users exist on both servers, so a user can log onto either
    • Data is syncronised between the servers
    • If one server fails, all users can use the other server

    Thanks.

    No, that's not possible.

What you seem to be looking for is "HA with active-active" and it's not possible.

You can do "HA with active-passive" (supported with Network Edition under RedHat or unsupported with DRBD+heartbeat).

    Hi Klug,

even with NE, double active still not possible? Are there any 'workarounds' such that 2 or more servers can share the same LDAP user accounts and mail boxes?

    thanks,

    Nope.

Server Replication will be in 5.5 but, AFAIK (and I know very little on this) it's for disaster recovery, not active/active use.
