Default Using Zimbra with Fetchmail - Problems!

My question is: Does Zimbra install its own fetchmail program?. The reason why I ask is because the fetchmail installed on FC4 does not seem to do anything when run, and when I try to uninstall it (with the intention of re-installing) using yum it indicates some dependencies with Zimbra.

What buffles me most is that there are no errors shown and there is nothing in the log files even though fetchmail is started with the verbose switch on.

    Any help?

    Regards
    Luke

Default fetchmail is a prereq for zimbra

We require fetchmail in order to install ZCS, but we don't install it ourselves.

Why's that? What does Zimbra use fetchmail for?

    The zmtrainsa script uses it.

Is that perhaps why I cannot use fetchmail outside Zimbra? I really need to get it going so that I have a self-contained mail server. Right now, I am using fetchmail on another machine with .forward file in user's home directories pointing to the Zimbra server.

Any body using fetchmail with Zimbra?

    Regards

I'm trying to do the same thing. I need to pull multiple outside accounts on multiple ISPs into the Zimbra server and fetchmail actually connects and transfers the mail. The MTA then rejects the mail (for some reason) and fetchmail flushes the mail from the ISPs (as in erased)...

I'm very interested in how to set this up. Please let me know if you fix this. I will do the same if I get anywhere.
