    Question Listing Domain Aliases

    I know that there is no admin interface for creating / managing domain aliases.

    So to create a domain alias, I simply execute the command (as zimbra)
    zmprov cd foo.com zimbraDomainType alias zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @foo.com zimbraMailCatchAllForwardingAddress @mydomain.com
    This creates a domain alias foo.com that points to mydomain.com.

    My question is: Is there any way to list all the domain aliases for a domain?
    Either via the command line or via soap api??

    Default

    I found a way to do it via the command line.
    su zimbra;
    zmprov gad -v zimbraMailCatchAllForwardingAddress zimbraMailCatchAllAddress | grep -B 1 "zimbraMailCatchAllForwardingAddress: @domain.com" | grep zimbraMailCatchAllAddress;
    Just replace @domain.com with the domain that you want to check.
    This will give you all domains that are aliases for the domain that you specify 1 per line.

    Now, this actually goes through the entire list of domains on the server and simply parses them 1 by 1 to see if they are an alias (using some clever piped greps) so it is probably not the most efficient method - especially if you have a large number of domains and / or domain aliases on your box.

    I only have about 30 domains on my box and it takes a few seconds to give me my results.

    I would be interested to see if there is a more direct or efficient approach or better use of zmprov that will retrieve the list without having to list every single domain.

    Zimbra Employees??? Any suggestions?
