    Here was my setting step:

    LDAP server name:

    ldap://192.168.0.13:389 (no SSL)

    LDAP filter: samAccountName=%u

    LDAP search base: dc=sfa,dc=local

    Authentication Settings:

    Clicked Use DN/Password

Bind DN: administrator@sfa.local (Company AD DN)
    Bind password: 123456 (for example)
    Confirm password: 123456

Provide username and password to test the authentication settings

    User name: administrator
    Password 123456

    Thanks

First of all, you need to create the accounts in Zimbra too.
There's not magical provisionning between the AD and Zimbra, only external auth for domains.

Then, when setting up the external auth for the domain, did you choose "AD" or "external LDAP" ? AD should be pretty straightforward.
