Yes you will have some down time while the upgrade runs - see this thread.

What's your current backup method? For instance say you're a small setup using rsync for backups: You could do a sync while the system was still up, then stop zimbra and rsync again (at that point you can grab any changes from the first). See: Open Source Edition Backup Procedure - Zimbra :: Wiki

Obviously plan two fold, backup time & time needed to restore just in case. After you get your license key from sales someone from support can help you with getting on NE

Also what's your current/planned operating system? Run a zmcontrol -v so we can check to be sure you can/are going to use a supported platform/won't have other steps necessary in upgrade.

    Hi,

I had installed open source zimbra edition on Redhat enterprise linux 5.1 operating system for one customer which is in live envirnoment since last 40
days with 100 accounts , the size of /opt/zimbra will be 2.5 GB

When i do zimbra -v I got below line.

    Release 4.5.10_GA_1575.RHEL5_64_20071117164152 RHEL5_64

I had not taken backup even one time, from production server, which is currently in opensource zimbra envirnoment

But i had taken backup form development server, which is also in opensource zimbra envirnoment.

    Regards,
    chandu
