Default Forwarding Spam and Virus filtered?

Just curious... If I setup forwarding on an account do the messages get spam and virus filtered before forwarding or are they forwarded before the filters?

As far as I can tell, it seems to forward before it runs the spam and virus filter. I can't figure out a way to only forward messages that aren't spam yet. Is there anyway to do this?

Behaviour confirmed. It forwards before filtering.

I don't think this is possible in Zimbra.

Yow. Well, here's the high level problem I'm having - I currently forward my mail to my blackberry BIS account. Unfortunately, this means that all the spam goes to the blackberry too. I was hoping that by using forwarding via filters, this would be avoided, but it apparently isn't. Is there anyway around this situation?

Why don't you use IMAP from Blackberry to connect to Zimbra? (instead of forwarding your emails to another account)

You can subscribe only to the folders you want.

Indeed, but the Blackberry doesn't natively support IMAP (I can have the BIS account check my mail server... but then it's polling. If I forward mail to the BIS account, I effectively get push mail).

I'm going to try to see if adding a subject prefix will help filtering...
