    Default whitelisting mta based restrictions

    hi guys.

I'm running into problems using the mta restrictions.
as a spam filter it is working as advertised. (most spams are blocked by the mta)
i need to whitelist certain ip's from being blocked by the filter.

    my restrictions:
    zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_invalid_hostname
    zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_non_fqdn_hostname
    zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_non_fqdn_sender
    zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_unknown_sender_domain
    zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_rbl_client dnsbl.njabl.org
    zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_rbl_client cbl.abuseat.org
    zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_rbl_client bl.spamcop.net
    zimbraMtaRestriction: reject_rbl_client zen.spamhaus.org

i need to be able to whitelist some ip that are being blocked (most noteably salesforce.com ip)

how do i whitelist in the mta level (i don't think sa.local is the way to go )

Exclamation this article is about amavis - not postfix

i'm using postfix rbl's - this is implemented way before the mail is routed to amavis.
i need some way to hack postfix in order to whitelist an ip before it can be blocked by the mta restriction.

    Default

Add it to your trusted Networks in the Admin GUI.

    Single IP - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/32

This IP will be trusted no holds barred.

is there a way to do it for a domain also ?

    Default

Postfix may support a directive allowing based on domain but I'm not sure.

You can get the complete list of directives at postfi's we site. They have extensive documentation.
