Question problem with zimbra 5.0 and zimbra_samba zimlets

Hello people and thanks for reading my post.

for start this is my first "full installation" of zimbra, i had currently installed zimbra 5.0 and is working just fine, but now i want to put all my machines to validate against the ldap zimbra (i don't want to have 2 ldap)

i have my zimbra server by the name of mail2.pranical.local and every computer in my company can connect to that machine. So i change the config_template.xml of zimbra_samba.zip in the line of ldapSuffix to be:

    <property name="ldapSuffix">dc=mail2,dc=pranical,dc=local</property>

then i make the deploy of the zimlet with the Web GUI and it say "done", i close the administration GUI and when i try to start again he put me the message of "Warning! Failed to create ou=groups,dc=mail2,dc=pranical,dc=local for Samba groups!"

and this is what i found in mailbox.log:

    2008-03-24 16:53:33,992 INFO [btpool0-7] [name=admin@pranical.local;ip=192.168.0.103;ua=Zimb raWebClient - FF2.0 (Linux);] SoapEngine - handler exception

If you undeploy the zimlet and open the Admin UI, do you see mail2.pranical.local in the list of domains (not servers)? Also, did you follow the instructions in UNIX and Windows Accounts in Zimbra LDAP and Zimbra Admin UI - Zimbra :: Wiki for Zimbra-Samba integration, or do you want to authenticate only Linux machines against Zimbra LDAP?

BTW, just noticed that the stack trace says that your admin user name is admin@pranical.local, which makes me think that your domain name is pranical.local and machine name is mail2.pranical.local which is why there probably is no LDAP DN dc=mail2,dc=pranical,dc=local.

Default I'm having a similar problem

Basically, I'm using the walk-though that you wrote as well. My intent is exactly the purpose of your instructions: replace a win small business server - entirely. xp clients will be logging in.

I'm cool till the first login to Zimbra Admin after the samba configuration. Then I get the groups error twice:
    failed-create-group.PNG

    Then a machines error once:
    failed-create-machine.PNG

and the samba domain is never created. perplexing

    Here's the mailbox.log:

Looks like you need to create the DN for your domain: zmail.ptest.us

    the DN is 'dc=zmail,dc=ptest,dc=us'
