Default Sending mail through Zimbra from Windows command line

    Hello everyone

I'm trying to setup a command line application (on Windows) to send email through our Zimbra. I have been testing with a product called Febooti Command Line Emailer (febooti Command line email client - Utility to send mail from windows command line)
The reason we're doing this is so that we can send email from a legacy DOS application.

I can get it to send outgoing email through Zimbra successfully (using SMTP with authentication). However, I was hoping that Zimbra would log the outgoing emails in the 'Sent' folder of the account we authenticated with. This doesn't happen. Do you know if it's possible to get this to work?

    Thanks in advance

    Al

Something like http://www.infradig.com/postie/ may be better as it can handle sending via IMAP. If you connect as a normal Zimbra account using IMAP I believe it would the store it in the sent folder. SMTP is purely using the Zimbra account name for authentication.

    Thanks for that!

I've downloaded Postie, but the batch installer doesn't work - not a good sign. There is a file install.bat missing.

I'll email the developers and see how I get on.
