I upgraded to Kubuntu 8.0.4 which now comes with Firefox 3 Beta 5. Looks like the same problem.

I have a shortcut to 5.0.5 on my firefox (3b5) bookmarks toolbar, I get the same problem so I just click the toolbar button twice and it's instant.

Unchecking the 'Use TLS 1.0' in FF Preference seems to have the same effect.

Just thought I'd throw it out there that Firefox 3 RC1 seems to have the same issue. I'm using OS X 10.5.

So I'm wondering if this is a 'zilla bug, and I'm googling around. I find this:

[TLS] Stateless Session Resumption support in Firefox 3

I'd like to announce support for Stateless Session Resumption (rfc
5077, previously rfc 4507bis) in Firefox Beta 5. This extension is
enabled by default. If anyone would like to help with interop testing
    please let me know.
    http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc5077.txt

I'm wondering if this is the future state of Firefox, and if something needs to be accomodated for the RFC change? It's almost time to leave before the weekend, and I just got back from the doctor, so I don't really feel like researching this too much more right now. RFCs hurt the head sometimes

Please try 5.0.6. I saw this issue on our nightly Zimbra builds and has since been resolved.

    Hi,

Sorry to bump this up, but I wanted to post here rather than on the bug report in case there is more information that I'm not aware of.

I'm running Firefox 3 (updated this morning, so it's the latest). If I untick the "Use TLS 1.0" checkbox I don't get this issue. If I leave it ticked (the default) then I do. Our company uses Zimbra over https and our users are upgrading to Firefox 3, so this is a problem for us.

What is the recommended course of action? Is there anything that can be done in Zimbra, or is this a Firefox issue?

If it's a Firefox issue, is there a bug open with the developers?

I have no more issues as of updating to 5.0.6. Whichever it is, it's been solved.
