Default [SOLVED] Created then deleted a folder, but Zimbra says it's still there

    Hey guys,

In mail, I created a folder called "Bills". I accidentally placed it in the wrong parent folder. I tried to move it to the main tree, but it wouldn't allow me for some reason, so I deleted the folder. After deleting it, it showed in Trash. I went to the trash and told it to purge. Now the "Bills" folder no longer shows and all of my trash is purged.

So I try to create the Bills folder again, but now it says a folder named "Bills" already exists. How can I clear this up?

I was trying to create a bills folder so that I can create a mail filter that will store bill emails there. I am an administrator at a small company and am presently evaluating Zimbra. So far, it's great! Thanks.

    P

Strange. Can you open the other apps (i.e. Address Book, Calendar, etc) and see if a "Bills" folder exists? FYI, folder names are unique across apps.

Before we forget: Welcome to the forums!

As you're the system admin, can you open a terminal and:
    su - zimbra
    zmmailbox -z -m user@domain.com gaf
(& see if a 'Bills' shows up)

Does the the error persists if you logout & log back in?

Thanks for welcome. I'm glad to be here, and definitely am liking Zimbra thus far.

The only other thing that is named bills is a Calendar. I created a calendar for bills, but that's been there for a while.

Isn't there some zmsyncmydbctl command? hehehe

I've logged off and then in, and it's still there. From the zmmailbox, it shows it is there. How do I delete this folder?

So are you trying to create /Inbox/Bills? or /Bills (which would conflict with the calendar named /Bills)

You can create /Calendar/Bills in another client or via CLI and they should now display properly; however the interface isn't there to allow user organization into calendar subfolders from the zimbra web-client yet: Bug 27211 - Support user creation and moving of nested calendars
