    Default "ERROR" zmprov modifyConfig zimbraLogHostname

    Dear Mr.

    Running the following command,

    zmprov modifyConfig zimbraLogHostname xxx.xxx.pt

    made this error:

ERROR: zclient.IO_ERROR (invoke Connection refused, server: localhost) (cause: java.net.ConnectException Connection refused)

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

    Greetings
    Jose Oliveira

From your earlier thread (what seems to be a multi-server setup) - are you doing this from the server that has the mailbox service down?
    Try:
    zmprov -l mcf zimbraLogHostname x.x.pt
(or do it from a machine in a multi-server setup that is working properly)

-l is a lowercase eLL to provision via LDAP

    another problem, but solve this:

    Host srv2.zmail.pt
    imapproxy Running
    logger Stopped
    logmysql.server is not running
    mailbox Running
    snmp Running
    spell Running
    stats Running

sorry, but I am very tired.

Could you post your full server layout?
Not sure what you've changed the zimbraLogHostname to/from and why.

Did you get srv1 mailboxd running from the earlier thread?

Thankfully logger isn't critical, but see Troubleshooting - Logger - Zimbra :: Wiki
    Anything in /opt/zimbra/logger/db/data/hostname.err at all?

In srv1 can not do anything!

    configuration of zmail.pt:

mta0.zmail.pt mta-edge and relay (first MX)
    mta1.zmail.pt mta-edge (SECOND MX)

mail.zmail.pt - antispam, antivirus, ldap, mta, snmp, stats
mail1.zmail.pt - antispam, antivirus, mta, snmp, stats

srv1.zmail.pt - imapproxy, mailbox, snmp, spell, stats
srv2.zmail.pt - imapproxy, logger, mailbox, snmp, spell, stats

What was wrong with that LogHostname? I have a feeling you're trying to move the logger from srv2 (per your layout) to srv1 in the mist of srv1 having it's mailboxd down or something and are just creating more problems.

Could you run zmdumpenv & zmlocalconfig on each machine and send the ouput via email?
(As cleanup for the forums might remove key info about a problem and would take a while to reconstruct properly.)
You can just su - zimbra and run them (as they're pulled from /opt/zimbra/bin) easier if you: zmdumpenv > myzmdumpenv.txt then send us the txt file rather than copy/paste.

Sorry you're down & running on no sleep! We've all been there - like other members of the community we'll jump in and help where we can via the forums, but keep in mind for the future this is why we have U1/U2 support tickets for NE (as well as hot backups): /support/support_overview.html
