## Image Displays Inconsistent

I have run into a couple of problems that seem to be related. It seems that whenever zimbra (web front end), is pulling html mail from the server it intermittantly url encodes / converts the img tags to dfsrc. In this case this has happened when saving an email as a draft, when setting an image into an html signature (via the method in the forums), and when opening html email. In all of these cases, it works correctly sometimes and others it will not display the image. In examining the source, the img tag looks like <img dfsrc="cidWT651"> or <img src="cidWT657" dfsrc="cidWT657"> or &lt;img dfsrc="http://www.blah.com/img/img.gif"/&gt;

In all of these case, the image does not display. In the first two cases, there is an attachment file, though I don't know if the ids match. In the last case there is no attachment and it prints the literal.

Can anybody give me some advise on how to fix this? Or, even give me a direction to look?

Thanx,
LES

I am having problems with image attachments as well.

If someone attemps to view an image that was embedded in a forwarded email, the user has issue with the image being linked to my Zimbra server. So they'll get a prompt to accept my cert, and then the image fails to load. The result is them having to manually launch the attachments and the contextual placement of the image is lost.

For clarity... I received an email with embedded images, I forwarded it to someone else, the email they receive from me attempts to pull the embedded images from my zimbra server.

I've yet to check bugzilla, I'll do that next. I figured I'd let you know you're not alone in image attachment hell

Edit:
It seems to be happening even on a Reply as well, not just a forward.

Here is the code that was in a message which behaved the way I described but on a Reply. This was in the message that someone received from me.
Code:
<p class="MsoNormal"><img width="290" height="349" id="Picture_x0020_1" dfsrc="cid:image003.jpg@01C8D206.6C3887E0" src="https://zimbra.domain.com/service/home/~/?auth=co&amp;id=21631&amp;part=1.2.3&amp;t=1213903835859"></p>

I think this bug is related, no cert prompt for them because they may not be using https.

Bug 26366 &ndash; reply to mail with inline attachment produces malformed message

I'd vote for it but I don't see a vote button.

There's a link "Vote for this bug" to the right of the comment box.

Heh, you're right.. my eyes were failing me this morning. I was looking for a button near the comment section, which I think was how it was laid out prior to the last bugzilla update/change.

Thanks for the correction
