    Default preparing to install

I'm looking into using zimbra. I'm working for a small company, but we are really interested in trying out the collaborative features that zimbra provides. currently, we have a regular sendmail/clamav/assassin setup with cyrus imapd. What would be the best way to try zimbra out? we also want to use a ldap server to manage the users and to provide access control to the unix accounts. will i be able to use zimbra's ldap server to authenticate against on my linux servers? and if not, will zimbra work as good with an external ldap server as it does with its box version?

Thanks for the help, it is very appreciated. Just want to plan it out all nicely. so much to do, so little time...
