    Default 550 undileverable error

    Hi,

    one fo the user got below error while sending one email

    <expo@franchiseindia.com>: host
    inbound.filter.theplanet.com[216.185.111.116]
    said: 550-Verification failed for <priya@xyz.in> 550-It appears that
    the
    DNS operator for xyz.in 550-has installed an invalid MX record with an
    IP
    address 550-instead of a domain name on the right hand side. 550 access
    denied S (in reply to RCPT TO command)

    what will be the cause of problem.

    MY dns entry at ISP is given below.

    mail.xyz.in. 86144 IN A 121.241.242.86

    xyz.in. 86067 IN A 121.241.242.86

    xyz.in. 86033 IN MX 0 121.241.242.86


    and customer are using "mail.xyz.in" in their outlook setting for outgoing and incoming mails.

    what will be problem.

    The simple answer is that the error message you've posted is correct, your DNS records are wrong. Check this report, I would also guess that you don't have a valid reverse DNS and that will also cause you problems.

    What to do now,

    Is I need to change hostname in place of ip for MX

    From the DNS report:

    Warning The MX record '121.241.242.86' is an IP address. It should be a host name.
