    Default which one is faster? better?

    Hi Zimbra(i)ns,

    We are going to import several thousands of .ics files into Zimbra. Which one of the folowing would be a faster way to achieve that?

    Thx. in advance.

    create folder:
    [zimbra@huron ~]$ zmmailbox -z -m user@domain.com createFolder --view contact /'New Calendar'

    [A]
    import calendar:
    [zimbra@huron ~]$ zmprov sm user@domain.com pru /'New%20Calendar' /tmp/user.ics

    OR

    [B]
    curl -k -u admin:zimbra --data-binary @/tmp/user.ics 'https://domain.com/service/home/user@domain.com/'New%20Calendar?fmt=ics'

    You'll have to have the user's account (or that folder/calendar) shared to the admin account to use option [b]. I do this by script when I create my accounts, but if you haven't done (or don't want to) that I'd recommend [a].

    We are interested in learning which command would run faster regardless, as we are importing thosands of accounts. Thx. jkl

    In that case, you should run the command against 'time' to see how long it takes to run.

    Code:
    time zmprov...
    time curl...
