    Default A few issues

    We are experiencing some problems that we would want to get resolved.

    1) First problem is client issues, probably some locally installed antispam software or so, but we need to resolve the problem for this 1 user serverside if possible. The problems is that when 1 specific user using outlook express, sends e-mail to people on the same domain (on the zimbra server) his mail is classified as spam. His hitting several rules among others rules regarding dynamic IP of smtp server (see paste of headers below):
    _______________
    X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=10.182 tagged_above=-10 required=5
    tests=[AWL=-0.743, BAYES_00=-2.599, DSPAM_HAM=-0.5,
    FAKE_REPLY_C=2.012, FH_HOST_ALMOST_IP=1.751,
    FH_HOST_EQ_DYNAMICIP=4.058, FORGED_MUA_OUTLOOK=4.056,
    RCVD_IN_PBL=0.001, RCVD_IN_SORBS_DUL=2.046, RDNS_DYNAMIC=0.1]
    Received: from smtp09.maindomian.com ([127.0.0.1])
    by localhost (smtp09.maindomain.com [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024)
    with ESMTP id ugGAA3xhETtZ; Tue, 1 Jul 2008 17:25:33 +0200 (CEST)
    Received: from gpwr61i (***.red-83-37-181.dynamicip.rima-tde.net [83.37.181.***])

    ____________________

    I have tried to add his 2 addresses as follows
    whitelist_from pieter.***@customer.com
    whitelist_from pieter@customer.no
    to /opt/zimbra/conf/salocal.cf.in and restarted the services without any luck..

    How do I make sure that his e-mails gets trough to his colleagues without being classified as spam, even though his locally installed programs seems to take over the smtp session on its way out?
    Couple of notes, yes he uses the zimbra server as smtp server in outlook express, yes, the user that he sends to mainly have hit the "not junk" button several times.

    2) Second problems is directly related to zimbra and perfomance of the webclient. Several users (and my self as well) have daily issues with IE simply crashes when using the AJAX webmail client. It just randomly freezes IE, also the admin UI of zimbra seems to be very very slow, after clicking on "edit user" in the accounts view usually takes up to 1 minute before the dialog pops up, zimbra is installed on a powerfull vmware ESX server, should be enough resources..

    For the client side IE crashes are you still on 5.0.2?
    For the admin console IE slow: Bug 28461 - Admin console takes too much time while editing account in IE7

    Yes still on 5.0.2, havent tested an upgrade yet, need to read more about upgrade and also the fact that spamassasin settings = gone when upgrading, and I dont remember all the places I made changes to make it as good as it is now, have made me wait with upgrading, so running on what was originally installed 5.0.2.

    For crashes, well its not actually only IE, firefox behaves the same way, not tested much with the new firefox 3 though.
