I don't understand from you description what you're trying to configure. Is this an external account, is it the Zimbra POP3 service? Some details such as operating system and Zimbra version would help. What does 'zmcontrol status' show, what errors are you seeing in the log files.
    Regards

    Bill

Where did you make these changes and what errors do you get in the log files?
    Regards

Look at Phoenix first reply "what errors are you seeing in the log files." log files is a hyperlink to the Wiki entry.

The logs are in the link I gave you earlier. Why did you actually try to change the details of the POP3 server?
    Regards

I see you edited and attached some logs, /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log would helpful though.
You can adjust the zimbraPop3BindAddress & zimbraPop3AdvertisedName via other methods: zmprov -l zimbraPop3BindAddress value
(Looking at your post history I'm still uncertain why you installed 4.5.x instead of 5.0.x if this is a 'new' setup....)
