    Default POP3 timed out

    Hi there,

    Zimbra 5.0.9. I have problem with POP3 users where connection times out. They did work fine for a while. Is there anything like limit on number of connections you can have or similar ?

    zimbraPop3NumThreads: 100

    How long POP3 connection lives? I have just few users connecting and it seems they already used all connections?!

    I increased Pop3NumThreads to 300 on server and tried to do the same in Global but after restarting server Global settings field is blank. Is that OK?

    You should check the numthreads from command line, if it shows 300, then it should be OK.

    If you read through the performance related wiki, it explains about how to set correct number of Pop3NumThreads. If you again see the pop3 connection timeouts, you should check /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log and zmmailboxd.out for errors.

    Comand line shows 300 pop threads. Problems is somewhere else.

    Users who access the POP server from local subnet do not have a problem, but users from other subnets are one who have trouble. As soon as you reboot server they are fine, but after a while they get timed out.

    if i change the parameter "zimbraPop3NumThreads: 100" for 300 may resolve?

    how do i make this change?
