I am testing Zimbra NCS 5.0.8 in a multi-server setup (consisting of MTA, Proxy, Mailbox and LDAP servers), running on RedHat 5.2.
When examing the communication flows between the different servers, I recognized that the MTA and Mailbox servers are not locally caching LDAP information provided by the LDAP server.
This results in multiple duplicate LDAP requests/responses, unfortunately being sent within the seconds range, stressing the LDAP server with somehow useless queries.
Is there any way to improve this behaviour ?
I have read in the documentation that in the future memcached will be available as a dedicated packet, so would this be a remedy for this behaviour ?
Unfortunately I have found nothing in the forum, therefore I am posting this question.
Thanks for your support,
