Default A little Ldap help please

    Hi

I have recently been charged with finding a cheaper solution for our customers than Windows Exchange for email. I initially looked at OpenXchange however they don't implement Ldap on there software. SO i googled around and found Zimbra.

Now I have Zimbra installed and nicely, I must congratulate you on an excellent and well thought out applicant/solution. However I need to be able to connect to the Ldap service remotely from a high end photocopier/scanner/printer running on a windows xp based print server. We have an app that can discover the Ldap on the the ip address of the Zimbra server, however we cannot bind to it or read its contents.

Now you will have to be gentle with me as I am newish to Linux and this is the first major project I have been asked to look at.

    so in a nutshell

I am running Zimbra on Ubuntu 8.04.1 and I need to be able to connect/read the Zimbra Ldap from Windows or better still the copier directly.

I hope you can help me

    thanks in advance

You are in the wrong section. This is Zimbra Desktop forum.
