Default Inbox unread message count is wrong

I have an inbox where the unread message count says (34) and there are no messages in the inbox. Does anyone know how to reset this number? I have tried reindexing but I think that is for search functions not how the messages are handled in the box.

Try restarting tomcat and then reload your browser. It would also be good to describe how it got this way. Are you using POP, IMAP, or the Web UI when the unread count got out of sync?
Looking for new beta users -> Co-Founder of Acompli. Previously worked at Zimbra (and Yahoo! & VMware) since 2005.

Yes, running all of the above, we are running Zimbra and Openwebmail on the same server with Openwebmail getting imail from Zimbra via POP, normaly a user will have one or the other UI this happened during some migration testing. Was just looking for a solution to put in our knowledge base in case it comes up again.

Will try a tomcat restart now.

    Default Same problem

I have this problem, too. In fact, since a long time - but I never asked on the forums because I was not using the WebUI. Now, I have decided to use WebUI, too, but the wrong number of unread messages puts me off.

It is showing 25 unread messages in the Inbox, whereas, in reality there are no messages.

I also right clicked on the folder and clicked on "Marked All as Read". But still the number is not reset.

Any idea, how I can solve this problem?

    Thank-you,

    Chintan Zaveri.
