Default Shared Calendar User - Disable E-Mail?

    Hi All,

I want to create an account that will be solely used to store/host shared calendars. So, I created an account called "calendars". However, I don't want this account to be able to receive e-mail. How can I go about disabling e-mail for an account?

When creating the account, I disabled all major features except calendaring, but if mail isn't enabled new calendars can't be created under the user! I also tried setting the user's quota to like .01 MB, but once the quota is reached I'm not able to add anything to any of the user's calendar.

Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance!!!

I don't know if this is possible, but is your goal just to make it so that user doesn't have mail taking up space? if so, just create a filter for the user that trashes anything it receives.

Exactly. I don't want mail to accumulate and take up space. That's a good idea! I think that's what I'll do.

    Woot!

So, I set up two filters...

1)If the "To" field contains "calendars", discard mail.
2)If the "To" field does not contain "calendars", discard mail.

    I think it works!

I can't believe I didn't think of that sooner! Thanks!!
