    Default Toaster uses .net? *Ick*.

So, does anyone have any recommendations for a Windows tray notifier that does *not* require me to install 175MB of crap?

Agreed, we use Zimbra to get away from Windows crap and then toaster forces us to use it. There are plenty of imap/pop3 checkers for free. Just google for them, imapnotify is one that I have used.

There is a Zimbra Notifier, not free but pretty cheap. You can find a link to it on the zimbra zimlet gallery page I don't think that uses .net and it's better than toaster too.

Not sure of the exact name but I've used a couple of freeware notifiers. There's a few out there, all they have to do is poll on pop3 or imap and Zimbra supports both.

That's not the one I used, if you google imapnotify (one word) you'll get to the one I tried after a few clicks.
