Okay have a read through http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...-activity.html as it provides multiple possibilities for performing what you are after.

there are some open source options out there that work with Zimbra, I'm not sure if I would be allowed to post the name of the one that I use, but if you google mail archive open source, you will find them. Pretty much anything that can archive Postfix can archive Zimbra.

    Default thank you all

    Hi,

I have added receipient_bcc_maps and sender_bcc_maps and it worked like charm. I have created an archive domain and started archiving mails. Now I have a problem i.e how to see that these mails are compressed and stored in a different location than the existing store? And can I choose where these mail boxes should reside??

Well if you are using a separate domain you could create a new mailstore from the admin panel, and then using a new CoS assign that mailstore to it. This would then allow you to say store archived emails on slightly slower tier 2 storage. Not done this myself, so will leave the floor open to one of our more experienced users

Since I've been told I can tell what product I use, it's mailArchiva, they've got a simple howto here PostfixIntegration < Main < MailArchiva Knowledge Base

They have an open source and an enterprise edition, I use the enterprise edition to keep from storing duplicate e-mails. It takes a bit of getting used to, but if you try it and have any problems just msg me and I'll try to help.
