An issue has come up concerning the restoration of Zimbra data on a new replacement server. The Administration Guide for v 5.0 under the section for Backup and Restore states that an initial sync is required after the database has been restored. My supervisor has a very complex setup in outlook that does not get backed up with the data on Zimbra. With the initial sync being required he is looking at several hours re-configuring his flags, categories, etc.
What would be changed in the data that would require a resync afeter a restore?
