    Post Regarding mail server

I had set zcs 4.5.10 in production envirnoment for one customer xyz.in

But there is one problem, when i am doing telent from any machine which is on internet. for example below

    telent mail.zyx.in 25 ( it is connecting)
    HELO xyz.in (input)
250 ok xyz in ( output)

    MAIL FROM:chandu_welcome@yahoo.com (input)
    250 ok (output)

    RCPT TO:chandu@xyz.in (input)
    250 ok (output)

    data (input)

    hi
    .

    queued 250 ok

problem is that any one can send abuse mail to our user by putting fake email-id.

How to avoid these? please help.

    Regards,

Spammers will always spoof the from address so your best bet is to improve your anti-spam. There are a lot of ways of doing this and some are documented on that Wiki article. You could also look at implementing DKIM aswell.

    Hi,

Is there any setting in zimbra, so whenever zimbra user got mail from outside world, zimbra should check whether it is from valid domain or it is valid user of that domain

If you are not using a catch all account on your domain then if that recipient does not exist the email will be rejected. If you do have a catch all account then by the nature of its purpose it will still accept the email even if the recipient does not exist.

    Hi phoneix,

my postmynetwork setting is 10.10.28.0/24 127.0.0.1/8

I am doing the telnet to our mail server from the internet machine which has public ip.

    So in above case,

neither it is in mynetwork setting not it is authenticated used ( which is used in from)

Please post output from the following
    Code:
    su - zimbra
    zmprov gacf|grep zimbraMtaRestriction
so we can see what restrictions you have in place.

You should also consider upgrading to a newer release of ZCS aswell ...
