    Default Restricting the deletion of emails

    Hello,

    Is there a way to restrict the deletion of emails through a COS, or any other method? If so, are they permanent, or can you set a time line as to when a user can delete their emails? ex: User can delete emails after 1 year.

    i am arise same in query in my office.We want to restrict users to delete their emails from their accounts due to some company policy

    IBM Domino Lotus 8.x and other EMail solutions has this features.
    Can Zimbra OS offer it ??

    There is still no update regarding Restrict users to delete their inbox/sent or any emails in their account ??????????????????????????????????

    What do you think is going to happen by posting this sort of request in the forums? It's not a currently a feature and I'd guess it's not likely to be a feature, however, if you think it's worth having then file an RFE in bugzilla with a justification of why it's needed and what you hope to achieve with it. I'd suggest you look at some other solutions if deleting mail is a problem for your users.

    We just want to keep records of users , some of times it happened if some employee leave company he/she delete complete business emails records .You know Email are the much more important for any company.
    So that's why i was asking this feature. .Any how we love to work with Zimbra.

    Then you should implement an archiving solution that keeps copies of all you mail, the 'feature' mentioned in this thread is not the answer to the problem - a complete backup and/or archiving solution is what you need.
