Default Changing IP address in /etc/hosts

I have a Zimbra server where eth0 is assigned two IP addresses. I want to phase out the use of one of these addresses. In /etc/hosts, the address I want to get rid of is defined. I changed this line to the other address assigned to eth0 and got the following in /var/log/messages:

    zimbramon[13436]: 13436:info: zmmtaconfig: Sleeping...Key lookup failed.

Changing /etc/hosts back immediately fixed the problem.

Do I have to restart Zimbra in this situation? Is there anything else that would need to be changed. Our DNS configuration uses the IP address I want to keep, so that shouldn't be a problem.

probably a certificate issue, you may have to generate a new one

I did a search on generating certificates and the only thing I found relates to SSL certificates. I'm not sure this has anything to do with this problem.

Is there some other certificate that needs to fixed?
