    Default Zimbra Plug-in not playing with others well ..

    Hello all,

    It appears that installing ZImbra's plug-in does not play well with other MAPI plug-ins that may already be installed .. We have on all of our Outlook 2003 installs a plug-in from www.shoretel.com for there PBX, Once you install Zimbras the plug-in for Shoretel disappears .. this is BAD .. Does anyone have a work around for this or better yet know of this issue?

    We have tested with some plugins but in general others need to be tested until they should be run in production. If you find a plugin that doesn't work with our connector please file a bug in bugzilla.

    When you install the zimbra connector, it creates a profile called Zimbra and makes it your default profile. What happens if you logon to your original profile?

    Go to:
    Control Panel->Mail->Show Profiles

    Configure it so it prompts for which profile to logon to. Then, launch outlook and select your original profile.

    Thanks for the fast reply .. However logging into the old profile is not going to help .. We need to run both side by side or at the same time ??

    We too want to be able to add the Zimbra account to existing Outlook profiles.

    When installing the Outlook plugin, it successfully creates the "Zimbra" profile with the Inbox/SentMail/Outbox/Search... folders.

    But when adding to the "Outlook" profile a new account of type "Zimbra Collabration<sic> Server", the resulting mailbox has folders for Journal/Notes/Outbox/Search,... but does not have Inbox or Sent Items.

    Is this a bug or a feature? I'm using ZimbraOLKConnector-4.0.1_GA_316_4.0.219.msi

    Thanks,

    -Paul

    the bug is the feature is not implemented ;-)

    We haven't limited support for mult-service profiles. Please file an enhancement request in bugzilla and make sure to include what services you want in a single profile.
