Hi everybody

I have installed an Ubuntu 8.04 TLS server with Zimbra
zmcontrol -v:

Release 5.0.13_GA_2791.UBUNTU8 UBUNTU8 FOSS edition

The problem is sometime, quite often the power goes down, the database get's corrupted and I have to get some older backup. I am making full backups daily at night. The problem is that I do not know all the time when the power goes down, and so I have no idea when to start the services manually or restore a full backup.
Is there a way to check the status of the server and the status to be sent to a mail address outside the server ? Maybe a script to run in a cronjob ? I am hopping some one had this kind of problems until now and can give me some advices. The emails are pretty important for me and I need a way not to loos to many emails!

Thank you for any advices on this topic !
Gabi
