You do not need to authenticate for sending mail when you are on the Trusted Networks, the article you followed is for authenticating your Zimbra server for relaying through your ISPs mail server. If you wish to have your users Authenticate then use port 587 as the submission port for the mail clients. Search the forums as this subject has been covered many time including answers.
