    Default [SOLVED] Too many amavisd processes ... need less

    How to reduce initial value for amavisd precess?

    When zimbra starts there are at least 10 of them which takes a lot of memory and on this particular box I have 5 users.

    I guess 2 amavisd would be more that enough for my setup.

    How to do it?

    Default

    /opt/zimbra/conf/amavisd.conf.in

    $max_servers = 2;

    restart zimbra

    * pay attention to *.in extenstion of the file..dont edit amavisd.conf

    Thanks Raj, it works.

    What else can be (de)tuned? Maybe ... httpd, saslauthd ... anything else you would recommend for small office setup?
