That actually isn't much detail on the problem. What is in the logs? Which version of Zimbra? How long has this been happening? When did it start? Have you done an upgrade recently and if so which version to which version?

I'd suggest you run a hardware RAM test on the server for at least 24hrs, this sort of problem is usually hardware.

Thats for sure that zimbra service wont cause reboot of server as it runs with less of privilege.

Early this afternoon 17 July around 2pm our email server (proxy and smtp) auto reboot for every 3mins. Both servers are installed latest verion 5 for Zimbra. The initial investigation shows a Denial Of Service (DOS), suspected attack either from the inside network or from the outside.

The auto reboot still on going. What should i do next?

Why do you think it's a DoS and do you have any procedures in place to stop the attack? If you really think that's the problem then you should talk to your network engineers about a solution.

now the question is which service was targeted ? check if server is compromised or any crontab entry made which causes reboot every 3min
