Default Newbie to Zimbra - Looking for calendar server

    Hello,
My requirement is to setup of calendar server for a small group (~15 ppl)
to schedule their activities and events. It should provide web based interface for making necessary changes and sync with clients like lightning/outlook calendar.

I am planning to run it on RHEL 5 or Fedora 11 system

I came across Zimbra open source collaboration suite product.

However, I am not sure whether this is the correct product for my requirement.

Looking for your suggestion on this implementation.

    Thanks
    Padramas

    Welcome to the forums

Zimbra is a complete collaboration suite; including email, calendering etc ... What email system do you use now ? you could switch completely across to Zimbra and have web client access

One thing to be aware of, if you want to sync with Outlook calendar, you'll need the non-free Pro Edition, and the Outlook hooks aren't open-source.

The OSS version will work with Lightning via CalDAV.

Zimbra's calendar is great... if you'd like to see a hosted option, I could set you up with a demo mailbox in a jiff. Just drop me a line.
    cheers,
